How Do I Love thee?
Look how cute! I made this fun tower out of matchboxes. I covered it in cute Valentines paper so I can put little notes in them for my kids in February. How fun! A valentine advent calendar! You can purchase the kit here for just $12.00 which includes detailed instructions and the matchbox blanks. You will just have to cut and attach the paper! (This is also in the kit)
The calendar is meant to be for Christmas so you can make it as tall as you would like. I did 12 thinking I would start it on February 2. You can do more! If you don't use all the matchboxes, you can decorate them and use them as fun party favors or Valentines. I just love talking about LOVE! (heehee)

We would LOVE to support our friends!
I was on a run the other day and thought about all of my customers, and how awesome you all are. I have thought about the economy quite a bit and how we can all make through this hard time! There isn't anything I would like to see more than all of you who have small businesses being able to get by (with a little help). So... I am looking to find people who want to "link up" we can talk about eachother on our blogs by sharing ideas or having contests. I think this will give our readers a little more "spice" and also help eachother out! So... if you are interested, please contact me at apage4allseasons@comcast.net and let's talk! Please don't post a comment with your link because I want to make sure to have it be fair to everyone. And, gotta be honest, I can't let a completely competing company be on here (heehee)...sharin' the love, but not that much! I know there is a ton of direct sell companies out there with consultants dying for a little bit of advertising...let's help ya!

Prices are falling!!!! :)
I JUST finished year end inventory. While going in to the site to adjust all of our quantities, I thought... "Heck! I mind as well lower some prices!" We purchase product just so we can make a kit. Because of that, I just want to do anything I can to get rid of the extra product we have. Check out the site... you may find some stuff you've been looking for at a great price!

Meeting New Fun People
Side note: I am going to start posting more fun ideas, recipes, people I might along the way on my business blog so stay tuned! I am making my personal blog go private February 1st so if you are following that blog through facebook, be sure to follow it on my actual blog so I can invite you to view!
While on Good Things Utah, I think the guests on the show with me where the cutest ever! When I came to the sign up desk, I was excited to see a familiar name on the roster! Lindsay Clements was scheduled to be the cooking segment! She is a member of my autoship club! Her blog is really fun to read. Her husband (can you believe her husband cooks with her!) do a blog. You should check it out. It has lots of fun recipes! Yesterday, they made the chicken wings and I didn't get a taste, but it sure smelled yummy! Here is the recipe:

Marinara Sauce (see our recipe or use your own)
1/4 cup dry white wine
Marinara Sauce (see our recipe or use your own)
1/4 cup dry white wine
2 tblsp chopped capers
1 1/4 cup flour
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
2 tsp dried oregano
2 tsp dried basil
salt and pepper
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese finely grated
1 package of chicken wings
1 can evaporated milk
1 egg
Oil for fryingFirst and foremost, if not done, separate the wings and drumsticks with a knife. In a large container mix together the evaporated milk and egg. Marinate the chicken in then in the container, covered in the fridge for as long as you have. The longer the better. In a sauce pan, heat up your marinara sauce with the wine and capers and bring to a boil until thick. Reduce heat and let simmer. Bring your oil up to temperature in a large pot. (375 degrees). Also preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Mix all the dry ingredients together in a bowl. Take the chicken from the marinade, and place in the flour. Toss until all covered. Put into the oil and let fry, turning once or twice, until golden brown. Be sure to keep the temperature at the proper level the entire time. Strain the chicken on a paper towel. Put on a baking sheet and put into the oven for 5 minutes (just to be sure they are done)Serve with the marinara on the side. This is a keeper for sure.

I met (for the first time) another fun gal. Krista Maurer did a demonstration on home decor. She is opening a cute boutique and does design services. So fun!
Last but not least, there was a lady there that demonstrated Smart art. I can't remember her blog, but she does fun activities you can do for kids. She demonstrated how to make play dough out of shampoo. Did you know I HATE play dough? I don't know what it is. But, the smell, texture, all of it makes me literally throw up! I am going to try out her recipe though...
Shampoo Dough
3/4 c flour
1/4 c white glue
1/4 c thick shampoo
Mix all ingredients in a bowl Knead dough Add more flour, as needed. Model or roll and cut as desired. Air dry Paint as desired. We made up a batch and shaped little hearts, then put a toothpick in the top. When they dry and are painted, you have little Valentine pendants to string onto a necklace! You can shape the hearts by hand, or use a cookie cutter.

Good Things Utah Detailed pictures
For design, I put the rhinestone swirl and flowers on the frame using my liquid fusion. Glue dots would probably work on the flower as well! You can download a FREE copy of the calendar on my website. Click here to go to my website and look under "Good Things Utah"
